Kevin Satterfield studied at the John Jay College of Criminal Justice where he received his Bachelors of Arts in Political Science and his Masters of Arts in Criminal Justice. Mr. Satterfield then went on to receive his Juris Doctorate from the Thurgood Marshall School of Law. He is presently an attorney for the NYC Department of Corrections, specializing as a Compliance Analyst. Previously, Mr. Satterfield was an Assistant District Attorney working for the Suffolk County District Attorney’s Office. In that capacity, he prosecuted misdemeanor and felony cases, conducted pre-trial hearings, and tried cases. Mr. Satterfield also headed up the Suffolk County Drug Court in Central Islip for the Office. After departing from the Suffolk County District Attorney’s Office, Mr. Satterfield became a criminal defense attorney for the next 10 years. Mr. Satterfield represented clients charged with misdemeanor and felony offenses, specializing in DUI and fraud cases.
Mr. Satterfield is admitted as an attorney in the Southern and Eastern Districts Federal Courts in New York State and is a proud past President and current active member of the Amistad Long Island Black Bar Association.
